NOTE - This ASL 1000 system is for ONE WHEEL only. This kit is ideal for installation of ASL on the front wheel of trikes, or other bikes where mounting hardware is not suitable for mounting on rear wheels.
The patented ASL 1000 system is an innovative side lighting kit that combines Lunasee's LERtape and special 1W LEDpods to create solid rings of light on your wheels as the wheel rotates. This cutting edge visual effect is sure to turn heads and sure to make you more visible to other motorists on the road. Even better, all this is done without any wires or LEDs in or on your wheels.
The kit includes Lunsee's LERtape (4mm pin striping), 2 high powered 1W LEDpods, control box, switch, and versatile mounting hardware suitable for most poplular makes and models. Please refer to the FITMENT section for more details.
Color: Lunasee's LERtape pinstriping is a whitish color in daylight (only 4mm wide), and glows a greenish/white at night. This greenish color is the brightest and most visible to the human eye, particularly in the periphery. Other colors will be available in the future.

Sold separately: We recommend you also purchase the LERtape Applicator Tool. This handy tool will make applying the LERtape easier and with consistent alignment.
Controller: The ASL 1000 system requires 0.4 amps (or 400ma) and a nominal 12V DC power supply. This Controller/LED Driver is necessary to drive the high power 1 Watt LEDpods.
LEDpods: Lunasee's LEDpods include high powered 1Watt LEDs, and the wavelength and beam angle are optimized for maximize brightness of the LERtape. These LEDpods are quite different from decorative LEDs and SMD's that are lower power and typically have wide beam angles to spread light over a wide area.
Caution: LEDs are in or near the ultraviolet spectrum. Never look directly at the light source
LERtape: Lunasee's fast reacting photoluminescent pin striping comes in a single roll that can be cut to length to fit each wheel. The material is 4mm in width and one roll is 6.5 meters in length. This is more than enough material to apply to the front wheel of your trike. The LERtape is specifically formulated for maximum performance with LEDpods.

FITMENT
The ASL 1000T Kit for trikes includes versatile mounting hardware that should work on most popular motorcycle makes and models, including Gold Wing and Harley.
Please note that the trike kit is only for installation on the front wheel of your trike.

LERtape APPLICATION
In addition, your rim will need a suitable surface area to apply the 4mm wide photoluminescent pin striping. While Lunasee's LERtape has unique photoluminescent properties, it is applied similar to any other wheel pin striping, and should work on most wheels/rims. In fact, we haven't found a wheel yet that would prevent application of the LERtape.
